Overview

Key Components of the Teaching Fellowship Experience

Mentoring: One-on-One

Spend time on a weekly basis with an experienced team leader who will pour into your life, helping you grow personally and adjust culturally. Your team leader will also regularly observe your teaching and give you helpful professional advice.  Experienced ELIC teachers in your city also provide counsel and fellowship.

Team: Life on Life

Living in intentional community is an integral part of the Teaching Fellowship Program. We believe that there’s power in the statement, “others will know Who we follow based on how we interact with one another”, and that is the foundation of our approach to team. We are looking for individuals who have a commitment and desire to be part of a close-knit community.

TIZO

The word “TIZO” is Greek for “equip.” During this weekly team meeting, Teaching Fellowship Program participants study the Word in community. Studies vary at different times during the year and serve as a catalyst for personal growth in the context of living in a new culture.

Faculty Meetings

Weekly or bi-weekly your leader will facilitate a meeting in which ideas are shared and special events are planned. These meetings are aimed at professional development and sharing resources.

Periodic Classroom Observations

Your Teaching Fellowship Program team leader will be an experienced teacher who is committed to your development as an instructor. They will periodically observe your classroom teaching and will offer valuable feedback, encouragement, and professional support.
